*My Olive Look
Terrain Earth Tones Palette
A fusion of saturated earth tones, this fall browns and greens have been reinvented as a result of the influx of 70's inspired modern wear. There is an interplay between warm tones like coppertone and cooler tones like prune, while spicier autumn tones like red rust continue to dominate 2016's colour schemes.
Olive
This season's key green, olive is falls answer to khaki. Wear in high-sheen octane shades and create a texture clash by mixing materials like cracked olive leather and infuse it with an olive knit turtleneck for a catwalk approved fashion forward look.
Coppertone
Inspired by metallic bronzes, coppertone is a rich autumn hue that is best worn metallic for maximum impact. Combine coppertone cotton with some fine spun delicate coppertone bangles and add complimentary shades of rust and pumpkin to offset its metallic cooler undertones.
Rust
A fusion of 'scarlet red' and 'sunset orange' rust is this fall's burgundy and is set to take the shops by storm. So be ahead of the curve and incoorporate rust into your wardrobe for a spiced autumn flavour. If you are feeling brave enough combine a crushed velvet tuxedo jacket with a pleated leather midi skirt and coppertone ankle boots to create a 70's meets 50's Gangster aesthetic.
Frontier-Neutrals Palette
Blue is at the forefront of Fronteir; carrying over Spring/Summer 16's obsession with teal, while dark navy becomes a base colour, best contrasted against mid steel blue. Browns are the new khakis of the season with important hues like wheat and dark chocolate re-defining the concept of A/W wear. Grey hues form a minor part of the Frontier-Neutrals Palette with mid-tone slates and sludge hues like Petrol.
Diver
Richly seductive, Diver is a cooler version of its Spring alternative Teal and is infused by mixing indigo with primary shades of blue and green. With its cool undertones the mid-tone Diver is best worn as matching seperates with an infusion of dark chocolate as accent colours.
Dark Chocolate
Vampiric and utterly irristable, Dark Chocolate is far from boring. Drawing inspiration from the dark side, dark chocolate makes the perfect accent hue for anyone trying to emulate an alternative Goth look. Pair with Black Onyx [featured below] boots with cracked faux snakeskin effect and a black leather duster coat layered over dark chocolate 60's shift dress, with a teal collar layered underneath for a subtle burst of colour.
Flax
Inspired by the colour of hue Flax has an artisian feel about it and is best worn as hipster outerwear with large functional detail; choose flax jackets with oversized lapels and layer over a burgundy suede a-line skirt and a dark chocolate turtleneck before adding Midnight Aubergine thigh highs. They key to working the Flax look is to layer with opposing but complimentary shades from other palettes to keep the flax from looking too wan.
Impulse Brights Palette
Just because it is winter does not mean that you can't inject some colour into your wardobe and the Brights Palette demonstrates that. Red features heavily with scarlet red taking centre stage while the 'Sunyard Bright' hues from S/S 16-sunshine yellow and red orange- continue to make a splash this fall.
Scarlet
An amped up version of Hollywood's staple hue 'Pillarbox Red' Scarlet is dramatic and designed to make an impact. For best results pair a scarlet red midi pencil skirt with a sunshine yellow blouse for a burst of colour to keep you sane during those dreary winter days. The concept behind Scarlet is to keep it fresh, colourful and youthful and sunshine yellow will help emulate that.
Sunshine Yellow
Bright, cheerful and guranteed to put a smile on your face, Sunshine Yellow is a stand out shade this fall. From sunglasses to 60's style platforms designers were not afraid to add much needed Vitamin D during the fall showcase and its citrine quality left everyone with a positive outlook to life.

Sunset Orange
Sunset orange is a muted sister of Tangerine but nevertheless does not make less of an impact. Pair [as shown below] different phases of the sunsets hue and clash textures to pull the look together. Add a tangerine leather gilet and layer over black demin dungarees with sunset orange mules to create a catwalk approved look.
Mystery Jewel Tones Palette
The jewel tone palette has been updated for fall with rich enchanting shades of burgundy and deep cast crimson leading the way forward. Indigo continues to be a popular jewel alternative to navy while eggplant and a darker hue of Byzantium come up the ranks to enter the jewel palette.
Burgundy
A catwalk favourite, burgundy is one of the most versatile hues; wearable all seasons, the transitional colour is a great accent colour to colourblock against. Pair burgundy with olive, diver or rust, the possibilities are endless. Layer a burgundy duster coat and add a slim dark chocolate belt before adding magenta lace-up knee highs and an olive shirt dress to create a modern take on a 70's classic trend.
Nostalgia Midtones Palette
Light blues create depth and warmth with vibrant azure hues leading into light periwinkles and baby blues . Purples continue to remain a strong feature of the midtones palette with light lilac and violet orchid playing an important role in fall's colour chart. Warm hues of tangerine orange and citrine yellows add much needed acidity creating a well balanced pallete.
Baby Blue
Continuing to reign as the most popular pastel-alongside salmon- baby blue's sugary tones makes it the perfect colour for fall proving that not all colours in fall have to be 'dark and mysterious'. Pair a baby blue duster coat and add a salmon pink pleather midi skirt, light periwinkle bow heels, colourblock tote and a mohair duck egg blue jumper complete with bejewelled statement necklace to add some fun to the elegant look.
Light Periwinkle
Light Periwinkle has been updated for fall with violet undertones and is best worn 90's style; pair a light periwinkle 90's slip dress with a baby blue collared shirt and teal ankle boots before adding a dusky pink silk trench coat to play off the crushed silk effect of the slip dress.
Cleanse- Pastel Palette
A muted version of S/S pastel shades, the subdued hues are delicate and season appropriate with ceramic pinks and lavender greys offering an alternative to its sugary warmer sister the 'spring pastel' largely incorporated of baby pinks, blues and lilacs. Dust rounds up the cleansing pastel palate, a sharp refined neutral grey that compliments the ceramic pink well.
Dust
A lighter version of charcoal grey, Dust has been pre-conceived as a hue for formal wear and that is not always the case. Pick a dust bralette and pair with dust tapered slouchy trousers before adding a slate grey faux fur jacket for a look that can take you from meeting to party in one swift second.
Other notable mentions
Midnight Aubergine
This fall aubergine has been redefined; midnight navy blue/black is combined with rich aubergine undertones to make aubergine more vampiric and edgy. Midnight aubergine is best worn matte, with a range of matte fabrics showcasing its rich winter undertones.
Black Onyx
Black Onyx is a key metallic hue that is best worn for creating a dramatic impact during a luxury ball. Create a texture clash by combining a mohair turtleneck with a black onyx midi dress and a decadent statement necklace for a casual luxe look befit for a leading fashion icon. Alternatively wear black onyx faux snakeskin boots with black leather dungarees for a laidback hipster look.
Dark Navy
This fall Navy, like midnight aubergine has gone over to the dark side with a dark 'ink' hue that is a shade away from black. With its new enhanced depth dark navy has translated into formal wear, making it the ideal safe choice for occasion wear.
